The irrigation pipes and sprinklers stacked up on the edge of the fields in the Imperial Valley of Southern California inspired this painting. The shapes, patterns and light create a fascinating subject. I added a yellow-headed blackbird, a species commonly seen in that area. This was another Leigh Yawkey Museum, Birds In Art Exhibition piece.
